The best contract analytics software depends on how many contracts you hold and who owns them. Ironclad and Sirion document the loading of an existing archive, ContractSafe is the only tool here that publishes a price, Icertis and Agiloft document the most reporting and alerts, and Kira and Luminance are built for legal teams. The pages that rank for this keyword in our check are written for legal review, so a buyer who owns vendor contracts mostly finds tools for another job.
Contract analytics software reads signed contracts with AI and turns clauses, dates, values and obligations into data you can search, filter and report on across a whole portfolio. We compared ten tools using each vendor's own pages and the G2 data we could read, and we mark every step a vendor doesn't document.

- Pick by the job. Ironclad (2,000 documents per upload) and Sirion (de-duplication and parent-child hierarchies) document archive loading, Icertis and Agiloft document dashboards and deadline alerts, and Kira and Luminance suit legal-led review.
- Only ContractSafe publishes a price, from $450 per month by active contract volume. The other nine are a quote, a demo request or a contact form.
- Field counts aren't comparable. The vendors cite 19 fields (Ironclad), 29 (ContractSafe), more than 100 (LinkSquares), 1,200+ (Sirion) and 1,400+ (Kira), and each counts differently, so test your own contracts.
- Analytics shows what a contract says, but it doesn't decide whether to renew it, and none of the pages we read describe who makes that call before the notice date.
Our picks by situation
Each pick follows a documented capability, not a score. Where a vendor doesn't document a step, the pick says so.

What contract analytics software is and what it is not
Contract analytics software is software that extracts structured data from contract text and lets you query it across the portfolio. A repository stores documents, and a contract lifecycle management (CLM) suite also drafts, routes and signs them. Analytics is the layer that answers questions such as which vendor contracts auto-renew in the next 90 days, which carry a liability cap below a set value, or which lack a termination-for-convenience clause. Most vendors here ship it as a module of a bigger platform, and that's why the same tools show up in our contract lifecycle management software comparison and our contract repository software comparison.
For a procurement or operations lead the useful part is narrow. You have a pile of vendor, SaaS and supplier agreements, many of them scans or old PDFs, and you want dates, values, notice terms and clauses in one place you can filter. Legal teams use the same tools to review clauses against a playbook, and several pages that rank for this keyword are written for that reader. A tool built for diligence review can extract well and still give you no renewal alert, so the job decides the tool, not the feature count.
Here's the flow of the four steps we compared, with the tools that document something at each step and what usually breaks.

The table shows what each tool is, what it hands on, its price status and the G2 rating we could read. Ratings come from G2 and carry the date we read them. A tool with no rating means we couldn't read a primary review source for it, and it doesn't mean the reviews are bad.
| Tool | Type | What it hands on | Price status (USD) | G2 rating |

Prices and capabilities checked on vendor pages on November 2, 2026. G2 ratings were read between October 17 and November 2, 2026, and the date is in each entry. Kira has one G2 rating and we don't show it.
Which steps each tool documents
"Yes" means a vendor page describes the step. "Partly" means it is mentioned without detail or sits in a separate module. "Not described" means we didn't find it on the pages we read, which isn't the same as "the tool can't do it", so treat each one as a demo question.

How we compared the tools
We read vendor product pages, pricing pages and help or release pages between October 17 and November 2, 2026, and we read a review source for each tool where the site would load. G2, Capterra and TrustRadius blocked several direct reads, so where we have no rating the entry says so. Each entry answers the same four questions in order.
- Ingest: how existing contracts get in, in which formats and in what volume.
- Read: which fields and clauses the AI extracts, and whether a person reviews the output.
- Report: what you can search, filter, chart or export across the portfolio.
- Alert: whether dates and obligations trigger reminders, and for whom.
The read is documentation only: we didn't load our own contracts into any of these tools. Review ratings cover the whole product, not only the analytics module.
The tools
Ironclad
A contract lifecycle platform built around a no-code Workflow Designer for intake and approvals, a contract repository and AI review features.
Ironclad is a CLM platform whose Smart Import loads existing contracts into a repository, tags fields and clauses with AI and reports on them in Insights.
Ingest. Smart Import takes up to 2,000 documents per upload from a computer, Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, Box or email. A beta Smart Import API handles bulk jobs, and files can be up to 100 MB. Smart Import is priced separately from the platform.
Read. It detects 19 fields and 175 clauses out of the box, but only on PDF and DocX files. Other formats get OCR full-text search only. Users verify the detected properties and can add more.
Report. After an import, a summary shows record counts by counterparty and jurisdiction and total value by counterparty. Insights is Ironclad's analytics area, but the pages we read don't describe its charts, so we mark reporting as partly documented.
Alert. Renewal and obligation alerts aren't described on the pages we read. Ask to see a renewal alert fire on an imported contract.
On G2, Ironclad has 4.4 from 324 reviews (checked October 17, 2026). Reviewers mention ease of use and integrations, and they flag poor search and a steep learning curve.
- You've got a legacy pile of PDF and DocX contracts to bulk-load: Smart Import tags 19 fields and 175 clauses and flags duplicates.
- You want intake workflows and repository reporting in one platform, with Salesforce, Coupa or SAP connectors.
- Your archive is mostly scans or other formats: field extraction works only on PDF and DocX.
- You need a published price: it's quote only, and Smart Import costs extra.
- Users like
- ease of use (45 mentions), integrations (22) and customer support (18)
- Users dislike
- poor search (14 mentions), search difficulty (12) and a steep learning curve (10)

Sirion
An AI-native contract lifecycle platform that extracts obligations, milestones and renewal terms from signed agreements and tracks them against SLAs and vendor performance.
Sirion is an AI-native CLM platform with an extraction agent that imports legacy contracts, pulls metadata into a repository and reports on it, sold to large enterprises.
Ingest. It imports all document types from legacy sources, clusters documents by similarity to de-duplicate them and builds parent-child hierarchies, so an amendment sits under its master agreement.
Read. Pre-trained industry data models capture 1,200+ metadata fields without model training. The extraction reads tables, signatures, service levels and rate cards, and new metadata models can be built without code. Results can be reviewed against the source text.
Report. Users ask questions and get answers with citations linked to the contract data, and extracted results can be exported to other applications. We found no page describing dashboards.
Alert. The homepage says agents monitor obligations and service levels and trigger owners when something slips. A claimed 99% on-time obligation compliance is a vendor figure, and we haven't verified it.
On G2, Sirion has 4.5 from 65 reviews (checked November 2, 2026). Reviewers cite an easy interface and AI features, and a learning curve and complex configuration.
- You're migrating a messy legacy archive and want de-duplication and hierarchy detection (documented on the extraction page).
- You want review of extracted data against the source plus export to other systems.
- You want a published price: only an Enterprise tier, contact sales.
- You want a light analytics-only tool: it's a full agentic CLM platform sold by demo.
- Users like
- an easy-to-use interface, AI features and end-to-end lifecycle coverage
- Users dislike
- a learning curve and complex initial configuration
- Source: G2, 65 reviews

Icertis
An enterprise contract platform with an AI layer (Vera) for obligation discovery, owner routing and renewals that sync with systems such as Workday and SAP.
Icertis is an enterprise CLM platform whose Vera AI layer adds clause summaries, risk flags, obligation tracking and analytics on top of a contract repository.
Ingest. The analytics page says to organize contracts and related documents into one searchable foundation. File formats, source systems and bulk import methods aren't specified.
Read. AI summaries cover key terms, obligations, commercial terms and risk indicators, and clauses get red, amber or green flags against configurable playbooks. The homepage says Vera is trained on millions of contracts.
Report. Interactive dashboards show performance, risks and key attributes. Plain-English questions return answers with contract details, and searches can be saved and shared. A separate reporting product feeds contract data to other data systems.
Alert. AI finds obligations across documents and classifies them, and workflows assign owners. Dashboards show status, deadlines and risk, automated alerts fire before deadlines, and evidence goes to audit-ready logs. A human review step for the AI output isn't described.
On G2, Icertis has 4.2 from 92 reviews (checked November 2, 2026). The review text didn't load, so we cite no praise or complaint.
- You're a large enterprise that wants analytics inside a full CLM with SAP, Microsoft or Salesforce ties.
- You need obligation tracking with deadline alerts and audit-ready evidence logs.
- You want a published price or a self-serve trial: neither exists.

ContractSafe
A contract repository where AI suggests renewal, termination and notice dates, you confirm them, and reminders go to anyone you choose, with unlimited users on every plan.
ContractSafe is a contract repository priced by active contract volume, with unlimited users and AI that suggests values for 29 fields a person reviews and accepts.
Ingest. Data and document migration is included in all plans, and an optional paid Jump Start service extracts data from existing contracts from $2.50 per contract. The AI processes only contracts uploaded after it is enabled, so earlier uploads need support.
Read. There are 29 AI fields: 12 core fields on by default (type, parties, effective and termination dates, auto-renewal, non-renewal deadline) and 17 optional ones (contract value, governing law, payment terms and others). Users review each value against highlighted source text and accept, edit or skip it.
Report. A search result can be turned into a report, downloaded to Excel or emailed. Pending AI values stay out of exports and reports until accepted. Dedicated dashboards aren't described.
Alert. Custom date reminders can go to any email address, a filterable calendar shows upcoming dates, and auto-renewals are tracked. Obligation tracking beyond dates isn't described.
On G2, ContractSafe has 4.7 from 132 reviews (checked October 19, 2026). Reviewers praise ease of use and flag missing bulk actions and trouble with search and reminders.
- You want a published price and unlimited users, with tiers from $450 per month by contract volume.

LinkSquares
An AI contract management platform that extracts key terms into a searchable repository, tracks renewal and termination dates, and runs intake and approval workflows.
LinkSquares Analyze is an AI contract repository that pulls 100+ data points, which it calls Smart Values, from signed agreements into searchable, reportable data.
Ingest. The vendor says it can digitize legacy contracts and build a central repository from scattered systems, and Smart OCR converts scanned PDFs and photos to searchable text. Import steps aren't described.
Read. It extracts more than 100 data points per agreement, including key dates, payment terms, renewal windows, liability clauses and counterparties, and flags non-standard clauses. A review workflow for extracted values isn't described.
Report. AI-driven dashboards give a portfolio snapshot, and Smart Values supports custom portfolio-wide search and reporting, with a sample chart of renewals and terminations by quarter. Export isn't mentioned.
Alert. It monitors obligations, key dates and renewals and flags missed terms with guided next steps. The alert mechanics aren't detailed. Prepare and Finalize add pre-signature workflows in the same vendor.
On G2, LinkSquares has 4.7 from 439 reviews (checked October 17, 2026). A third-party summary of the tags names ease of use and support as strengths, and missing features and inaccurate AI as weaknesses, with an average implementation time of about 3 months.

Agiloft
A no-code, configurable contract lifecycle platform with renewal types, advance-notice emails, obligation tasks and an AI layer for extraction.
Agiloft is a configurable CLM platform whose Astra AI extracts clauses and commitments and feeds dashboards, reports and renewal reminders.
Ingest. Astra accepts direct uploads or documents opened through the Word add-in, and it can analyze single contracts or sets, with larger sets on the Pro plan. The page doesn't explain legacy contract migration.
Read. Astra extracts clauses and compares them with internal playbooks. After signature it extracts deliverables, compliance requirements and service levels. People keep the final review, and suggested redlines follow approved fallback positions.
Report. Customizable dashboards and reports cover metrics such as renewal lengths, delivery dates and spending, and contract data is described as searchable and reportable.
Alert. Automated reminders cover renewals and critical dates, and no-code multi-step obligation tracking and approvals handle the follow-up, with alerts for expirations and termination windows.
On G2, Agiloft has 4.5 from 112 reviews (checked November 2, 2026). Earlier reviewers praised flexibility and centralized monitoring and flagged difficult implementation. G2 users report an average implementation time of about 5 months.
- You want extraction, dashboards and renewal reminders in one configurable CLM with a Word add-in for review.

Docusign CLM
A contract lifecycle product from Docusign that covers generation, review, approval, signature and storage, with AI extraction and a drag-and-drop workflow designer.
Docusign's Iris AI engine extracts key terms from agreements held in Agreement Manager, a repository included in select Intelligent Agreement Management plans.
Ingest. The product page says to consolidate executed agreements in one repository but gives no migration steps.
Read. Iris extracts key terms automatically, and the CLM page cites more than 100 pre-trained AI models. A custom extraction, described as beta in the blog post we read, learns a business-specific term from a few sample agreements, and existing agreements can be reprocessed selectively.
Report. Customizable reports and AI-generated worksheets support portfolio-level analysis. We found no named dashboards on the pages we read.
Alert. Renewal and obligation management is described as automated, tracking terms, commitments and deadlines. How alerts are delivered isn't stated.
On G2, Docusign CLM has 4.3 from 503 reviews (checked October 17, 2026). Reviewers praise ease of use and digital signing and flag expense, a steep learning curve and complex setup.

Workday's launch release addresses Workday HCM and Financial Management customers and prospects, and no page we read says whether it is sold standalone.
Evisort is now sold as Workday Contract Intelligence, powered by Evisort AI, and turns unstructured agreements into searchable data with configurable dashboards.
Ingest. Contracts and data points sync from repositories such as Box, SharePoint and Salesforce. No migration process for an existing contract pile is described.
Read. It extracts common contract terms with AI and OCR and lets you build custom AI models for other terms. Ask AI answers natural-language questions across contracts with links to the sources.
Report. Dashboards and reports are configurable to show chosen contract terms and are described as always current. The Workday launch release also cites flagging potential savings and non-standard language.
Alert. The page shows only a 'Delivery and Renewal Obligations' tab caption, and the release mentions flagging missed renewals. Alert setup isn't described.
We couldn't read a G2, Capterra or TrustRadius rating for it. Workday's March 2025 release addresses Workday HCM and Financial Management customers and prospects, and no page we read says whether it is sold standalone, so confirm that with Workday before you plan a purchase.

How much does contract analytics software cost?
Only one of the ten tools publishes a price, so most contract analytics software costs whatever the vendor quotes for your scope. ContractSafe lists $450 per month for Organize, $660 for Finalize and $815 for Maximize, billed annually and set by active contract volume, with unlimited users. The other nine sell by quote, demo request or contact form.
| Tool | What the vendor publishes (USD) | Other cost facts (USD where stated) |
|---|---|---|
| Ironclad | Not published, custom quote | Smart Import is priced separately from the platform |
| Sirion | Not published, Enterprise only | Contact sales |
| Icertis | Not published | Customers cited are Fortune 500 scale |
| ContractSafe | $450, $660 and $815 per month, billed annually | Tiers run from 100 or fewer active contracts to 10,000+; Jump Start data extraction from $2.50 per contract |
| LinkSquares | Not published, quote only | Priced by contract count, users, modules and onboarding |
| Agiloft | Not published, quote only | G2 users report about 5 months to implement |
| Docusign CLM | Not published | Agreement Manager is included in select Intelligent Agreement Management plans |
| Evisort | Not published, quote only | Standalone sale not documented |
| Luminance | Not published, quote only | Nothing published |
| Kira | Not published, quote only | The vendor pricing page returned an error when we read it |
Because nine of ten haven't published a list price, compare quotes on the same scope. Ask each vendor how many contracts the quote covers, whether the AI extraction and the migration of existing contracts are included or priced per contract, how many users can log in, and what implementation costs. Two quotes are only comparable when they include the same modules.
How accurate is contract AI and how do you check it?
Contract AI is accurate enough to find candidates, but it isn't accurate enough to trust without a check. The vendors here treat it that way, and they're not shy about it: ContractSafe holds every AI value out of reports until a person accepts it, Agiloft says people keep the final review, Ironclad has users verify detected properties and Sirion lets users review extracted data against the source. LinkSquares, Icertis and Luminance don't describe a review step on the pages we read. Kira claims 95%+ precision on target provisions and its G2 profile says 90%+, and both are vendor figures we couldn't test.
A sample check takes an afternoon, and it'll tell you more than a vendor claim.
- Pick 20 contracts from your own archive, including scans, amendments and a few awkward old ones.
- Write down the five fields you will report on, such as renewal date, notice period, auto-renewal, liability cap and termination for convenience.
- Check the extracted value against the source text for every field on every contract and count the misses.
- Check how amendments are handled: does the tool show the current term or the original one?
- Ask whether a value you haven't reviewed can reach a report or an alert.
- Ask what happens to scans and file types the tool can't read, and whether it tells you.
- Fire one real alert on a test contract and see who receives it and when.
Will AI replace contract management?
AI won't replace contract management on the evidence of these tools. Every product here extracts and flags, and the vendors that describe review keep a person in the loop. Someone still has to decide what a clause means for the business and whether to renew, and that's a decision that depends on usage, budget and alternatives that no contract text contains.
How to choose contract analytics software
Choosing contract analytics software, however, starts with who owns the contracts and how many you have. Write down how many active contracts you hold, what share are scans, which five fields you will report on, who needs the alerts and where the data has to go next. A team with a few hundred vendor contracts may need a repository with reminders rather than a CLM suite, while an enterprise with thousands of legacy agreements has an ingestion problem.
Does it connect to your procurement and finance systems?
Contract analytics connects to procurement systems only through some of these tools. Docusign CLM lists Salesforce, SAP Ariba and Coupa connectors, Ironclad lists Salesforce, Slack, Coupa and SAP, and Sirion's G2 profile lists 21 integrations including Coupa, SAP, Docusign, Ivalua and Adobe Acrobat Sign. Agiloft names Salesforce, SAP, NetSuite, Workday, Docusign, SharePoint and Slack, and Icertis names SAP, Microsoft, Salesforce and Docusign as partners. ContractSafe lists Docusign, Okta, Active Directory and Salesforce, with Salesforce and the API in the top plan. For LinkSquares we found no named systems on the pages we read, so ask for the list.
How long does implementation take?
Implementation time is the least documented number in this category, and it's the one buyers ask about last. G2 users report an average of about 5 months for Agiloft, and G2 shows about 3 months for LinkSquares. Ironclad's Smart Import is built for bulk loading, and ContractSafe includes migration in all plans. For the other tools we found no stated duration, so ask each vendor who'll load the archive, who'll check the extracted values and who'll connect the systems.
What should the demo cover?
The demo should run your own sample contracts and name what isn't included in the quote.
- How many active contracts do we have, and how many are scans?
- Which five fields will we report on, and can the tool extract and filter them?
- Show an amendment and its master agreement in the same view.
- Show a report built only from reviewed values.
- Show a renewal alert firing, and tell me who receives it.
- Is migration of our existing contracts in the quote, and at what price per contract?
- Which of our systems does it connect to, and is that connector in the quoted plan?
- What does the quote cover at our volume, and what does implementation cost?
A rough split works for a first shortlist. If you hold a few hundred vendor contracts and want a price you can budget, start with ContractSafe. If you have a large archive of mixed formats, start with Ironclad or Sirion. If you need alerts and audit logs at enterprise scale, start with Icertis or Agiloft, and if the work is legal diligence, look at Kira or Luminance. After the analysis: the renewal decision
Analytics tells you that a software contract auto-renews on January 1 with a notice deadline in mid-November. It doesn't tell you whether the business still uses the product, what Finance will pay or whether IT has a replacement. The tools above describe alerts, and none of the pages we read describe who decides before the alert fires. The Procurement Manager is a small tool for that one job: it routes each contract renewal to the business owner, Finance and IT and produces one decision packet with the exact dates and source evidence before the notice deadline. It doesn't read or interpret contracts. Instead, your team confirms the notice terms against the contract, and it never cancels anything on its own. Use it next to a contract analytics tool if renewals are where your savings leak. Our contract renewal notice period guide and contract renewal checklist cover the dates themselves.
Frequently asked questions
What is contract analytics software?
Contract analytics software reads signed contracts with AI and turns clauses, dates, values and obligations into data you can search, filter and report on across the whole portfolio. It is usually a module of a contract repository or CLM suite.
What is the difference between contract analytics and contract management software?
Contract management software stores, routes and often drafts and signs contracts. Contract analytics is the layer that extracts structured data from the contract text and reports on it. Most tools in this list sell both, and a few, such as Kira, focus on review and extraction.
How much does contract analytics software cost?
Contract analytics software costs a quote on request for nine of the ten tools here. ContractSafe publishes $450, $660 and $815 per month billed annually, set by active contract volume, and some vendors price migration of existing contracts separately, for example ContractSafe's Jump Start from $2.50 per contract.
How accurate is AI contract extraction?
AI contract extraction has no independent accuracy figure on the pages we read. Kira claims 95%+ precision on target provisions, which is a vendor figure. Test a sample of your own contracts and check every extracted field against the source text before you rely on it.
Will AI replace contract management?
AI won't replace contract management on the evidence of this list, because no tool removes the human decision. The vendors that describe review keep a person in the loop, and someone still has to decide what a clause means for the business and whether to renew.
Can ChatGPT analyze contracts?
A general chatbot can summarize one contract you paste in, but it doesn't keep a portfolio database, reviewed fields or date alerts. Contract analytics tools store extracted values, let a person review them and report across all contracts.
